If you are a lot like me, then you already know that oldies music is by far the best music. If you want to listen to your Tape anywhere you go, all you have to do is put it onto a CD.

That is correct, there are actually ways you can take your tape and put the music on there onto a Compact disk. The good news is you don't even have to be tech savvy to do this, all you need is a cassette to cd recorder.

1-Purchase the equipment you need

The first thing you are going to need to do is search for the equipment that you want. There are many different pieces of software you can do it with, but if you are searching for a way to do it that is simple, quick, and of good quality then you are going to want to get a simple cassette to cd recorder. Always remember that if purchasing a cassette to cd recorder is to much money right now, you can get away without purchasing that. It just makes life easier when you have one.

2-Find the computer sound card and connect it to the output of the tape

The next thing you are gong to want to do is find the computer sound card and hook it up to the output of the cassette. This will allow you to capture the output of the cassette tape on your computer. The only kind of equipment you need to do this step is a stereo to stereo wire or a stereo to USB wire.

3-Adjust the output to your preferred level

The third step is to mess around with the output settings to find the setting that gives you the ideal sound. Chances are good the music will be a bit distorted straight away. If it is a few adjustments will make it sound normal.

4-Simply press the button that says record

Now that you have the music sounding the way you want it, just press the button that says record and it will start to transfer it onto your PC. When it finishes recording, the only thing you need to do is save it as a MP3 file and burn that file from your computer onto a Disc.
